Allow your kitten time to settle away from other pets. This will help them get their bearings of where to find food, water, and litter trays. Then gradually introduce them to the rest of the house.
Speak to your vet or pet shop about the use of pheromone products (such as sprays or diffusers) that can help to calm your new kitten while they settle into their new home.
Don’t teach your kitten things that you don’t want them to do as adults. Something that is cute when they’re tiny might not be so cute when they are fully grown!
It’s advisable to book an appointment with a vet so that they can answer any questions you may have and discuss insurance and health plans with you.
Be sure to remove any toxic products and plants, cover up any kitten-sized holes they may get stuck in, and make sure their environment is safe and secure.
